For this addition of Wardrobe 101 I am featuring one of my favorite articles of clothing, the leather jacket. The leather jacket is the perfect piece for everything from elevating everyday casual wear to putting the finishing touch on a look for a night out. It is also a great addition to a party dress to add a fashion forward edge.
There are many styles of leather jackets: moto, cropped, fitted, asymmetrical, biker, black, color etc. When selecting the right one for you it's important to bear in mind the usual fit notes I discuss in Wardrobe 101 posts, and to also consider which style of jacket suits your personal style best. Personally, the Mock jacket by Acne is the perfect leather jacket for me as the slightly boxy, classic motorcycle fit suits the silhouettes of my to day clothing and it's length and hardware make it perfect for dressing up as well.
